Who you are, what does your project do, and why did you build it?

I'm Shadi Rosenow, co-founder of Frameflow, a media production company that's carved a niche in collaborating with Fortune 500 brands. Despite our success, finding new clients was consistently challenging. Traditional platforms like Upwork and DesignRush presented steep commission fees that didn't align with our vision of fair business practices. In response, I developed Firmpavilion.com. It's a unique blend of a review directory and a B2B marketplace, distinguished by its blind bidding process to ensure fairness and eliminate underbidding strategies. This platform is our solution to the commission-based model, designed to streamline the connection between businesses without the excessive fees.

What problems did Memberstack help you to solve?

Initially, our major hurdle at Firmpavilion.com was the complexity of creating user accounts and gating content, especially with my background in video production, not web design. Memberstack solved these challenges by making it straightforward to create gated content and customize the user experience. Its functionalities enabled us to offer tailored content and services based on membership levels without needing extensive coding knowledge, thanks to tools like Memberstack's Rey AI chatbot.

What are your favourite things about Memberstack? Why are those your favourites?

Memberstack truly revolutionized how we approached Firmpavilion.com. My favorite aspects are its comprehensive documentation and the vibrant Slack community that has been instrumental in our growth. Memberstack's ease of use for creating gated content and customizing user experiences based on membership plans stands out. It allowed us to display varied content on the same page depending on each user's specific plan and membership status, making it an invaluable tool for our platform.

How I built this...

Building Firmpavilion.com involved integrating several key tools to create a seamless frontend experience. We used Webflow for design, Memberstack for user account management and gated content, and Make.com for managing webhooks to provide instant user feedback. Airtable served as our database backup and added a layer of security by verifying user updates. Intercom's AI chatbot was trained on users' company profiles, enabling personalized suggestions for potential clients based on their needs. This ecosystem of tools allowed us to create a dynamic and responsive platform that meets the needs of our users effectively.
