Introducing WF Weekly
Hello! Here we are on the first episode of WF Weekly. The plan for WF Weekly is to show you all of the cool stuff that happened in the Webflow space over the past week. So we're going to go over some of the really cool stuff that Webflow themselves have dropped and we're also going to go over some really cool projects created by the community that might help you or might at least inspire you.
Webflow's "Tiny but Mighty" Updates - Last 7 days
1. Exploring Advanced CSS Variables & Functions
Webflow have expanded the power of Variables! With the release of function variables, you can now define values using native CSS functions like clamp(), calc(), min(), and max() -
directly within Webflow.
This makes your style values more responsive, flexible, and reusable — helping you build scalable design systems without relying on custom code.
2. Setting Up Page-Level SEO Controls (Canonical Tags)
Canonical tags for static pages without the use of custom code! This will ensure search engines recognize the preferred version of content and avoid duplication issues.
3. Celebrating the New CMS Autosave Feature
(A personal favourite!) All CMS content edits made in the CMS panel — including in the item panel modal surfaced on the canvas — are now automatically saved.
