Email Campaigns is currently in Beta. It's live and usable, but features and pricing may change as we continue to develop the product based on builder feedback.
A verified sender domain (a custom domain is required — free providers like gmail.com can't be used as your "from" address), an active paid plan with available email quota, an account that's at least 7 days old, and at least one member to send to.
Transactional emails are automated one-to-one messages like password resets and one-time login codes. Campaigns are one-to-many broadcasts you compose and send yourself — newsletters, announcements, re-engagement, and onboarding. They can use separate sender addresses, and we recommend a dedicated campaign sender so deliverability issues don't affect your transactional emails.
Target members by plan and status (Active, Trialing, Requires Payment, Canceled), by custom field (Equals, Contains, Starts with, Not equals), or by built-in properties like signup date, last login, and email-verified status — or send to everyone. A live Audience Preview shows your estimated recipient count as you build filters. Campaigns are capped at 15,000 recipients per send; reach out to support if you need to go higher.
No. Every campaign automatically includes a compliant footer with Unsubscribe and View in browser links — this is automatic on every send and isn't optional. Members who unsubscribe are skipped on future campaigns automatically, and they still receive transactional emails like password resets and one-time login codes.
Both. Send now or schedule for a future date and time. You can pause, resume, cancel, or duplicate a campaign during its lifecycle. To protect deliverability, you can send one campaign per hour.
No. Once a campaign is Scheduled, Sending, or Completed, its content is locked. You can duplicate it, edit the copy, and resend to a new audience. Content stays editable while a campaign is in Draft or Failed state.
Memberstack monitors bounce and complaint rates while a campaign is sending. If they get too high, the campaign auto-stops to protect your sender reputation, and you'll see an explanation on the campaign detail page.
