Who you are, what does your project do, and why did you build it?
I'm the founder of FounderPass, which is a platform/community where founders, startups and decision-makers can discover new tools and software for their business whilst getting discounts and perks, we currently have over $1 million worth of discounts on the platform and thousands of founders. I built FounderPass as having run multiple businesses previously, I always found it took time to find the right software or tool that I was after and that I quickly had a large monthly recurring bill when buying lots of different software. So I wanted to create a place where fellow founders could quickly discover what tools are out there and also get big discounts on them.
What are your favorite things about Memberstack? Why are those your favourites?
The ability to turn a website into a membership/community is the core thing I love about Memberstack, paired with the simplicity in getting it all set up means it's been an essential tool to our site. We also love the templates, tutorials and components that the team at Memberstack design which have been invaluable to saving us a lot of time when designing parts of the site. We also love the features that the 2.0 version have introduced such as the social logins which have increased our conversion rates since we've installed them.
What problems did Memberstack help you to solve?
We were struggling to work out a way to create a membership based website that could control parts of the site for specific members. Without a fully custom developer being involved costing thousands we hadn't come across many solutions until we found Memberstack which did everything we needed it to.
How I Built This
We firstly designed the site on Webflow as this is our preferred platform, we then used a mixture of the templates and components that Membership give away to design pages such as a registration, login, member area and more. We then changed the design to fit in with our branding keeping the core parts to ensure it all worked well.
We've since then linked everything together from Webflow to Memberstack with Stripe being the way we take payments to using tools such as Zapier to create additional features that we needed. As we've grown with added additional features giving members more ability to manage their own accounts, we've also implemented referral programs to help spread the word using Rewardful to implement it quickly and easily.
