Introduction:

I am Josiah Brown, the founder of Medical Tourism Chat. We built an AI-powered planner that helps people around the world plan and book their medical procedure abroad, handling everything from A to Z. The goal is simple: to make "Healthcare Without Borders" a reality for anyone seeking affordable, high-quality medical care abroad.
We noticed that planning a medical trip, whether for surgery, fertility treatments, or cosmetic procedures, involved a lot of moving parts. Patients had to juggle flight and hotel logistics, compare destinations, and compare the best providers all on their own. We built this tool to centralize that process, using AI to help users compare options and handle the heavy lifting of travel logistics.
What problems did Memberstack help you to solve?

Before Memberstack, we were left struggling to figure out how to handle user sign-ups. We needed a way to differentiate between casual browsers and serious users who were ready to plan their trips.
Memberstack made this a problem of the past by enabling us to create a sign-up flow with both email and Google login options. This allows us to both collect user info and remember each user’s trip history. It also gave us the ability to lock our /chat page behind a verification wall without writing complex backend logic. It manages our user sessions and profile data perfectly, so we do not have to worry about security or database management.
What are your favorite things about Memberstack?

My favorite thing is how well it plays with our custom code. We are running a Next.js application, and the Memberstack DOM package made it incredibly easy to integrate. I love the conditional visibility features; being able to show different navigation buttons to "guests" versus "members" using simple attributes like data-ms-content saved us hours of coding.
I also really appreciated the speed of implementation. We were able to set up an all-inclusive authentication system, complete with email verification and password resets, in a fraction of the time it would have taken to build internally. It just works, and it scales with us as we add new features.
It is impossible to speak about Memberstack’s strengths without mentioning their support team. They are truly amazing people who do an amazing job in helping their users. With other companies, I dread sending an email to support, as it often feels like I will be lucky to even get a reply. But “MemberSlack 2.0” (the Slack support channel) changes the way I view technical support.
