We’re Extropy, a blockchain security and education company helping developers build safer, more reliable Web3 systems. Our project, Extropy Academy, makes high-quality blockchain education accessible to everyone, from curious newcomers to professional auditors and developers.

We built Extropy Academy to bridge the gap between theory and practice. Most Web3 education is either too abstract or too fragmented, so we designed a space where developers can learn from real-world security research, practical exercises, and guided courses. Our goal is to empower the next generation of secure smart contract developers with free, transparent, and community-driven learning resources.

What Problems Did Memberstack Solve For You:

We built Extropy Academy using plain HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to keep things lightweight and fully under our control. Without Memberstack, adding features like user authentication, membership tracking, and payment integration would have required a complex backend setup — something that would have slowed us down significantly.

What Are Your Favorite Things About Memberstack:

Memberstack allowed us to launch quickly and still offer a seamless registration and gated content experience for our learners. It handled all the heavy lifting behind the scenes, letting us focus on the content and design rather than backend infrastructure or security concerns.

How I Built It:

We started Extropy Academy with a simple goal: make blockchain and security education accessible without overcomplicating the tech behind it. Instead of reaching for a heavy frontend framework or a custom backend, we decided to build everything with plain HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. That choice kept the site lightweight, fast, and easy to maintain.

The challenge came when we wanted to offer gated content, user accounts, and course payments — all without spinning up our own authentication or database layer. That’s where Memberstack came in. It allowed us to layer membership logic directly on top of our static site, giving us secure logins, access control, and payment integration through Stripe, all in a few lines of code.

The end result is a clean, efficient setup that feels almost invisible — the tech fades into the background so that the learning experience can shine.
