Who you are, what does your project do, and why did you build it?
We are Trent and Ashlee Harding, co-founders of OT Playground, a platform dedicated to providing occupational therapists, parents, and educators with high-quality, downloadable resources to support children’s development.
OT Playground offers a comprehensive library of resources designed to make engaging with kids playful and effective. From daily living skills to fine motor skill activities, our platform provides professionals and caregivers support in achieving developmental milestones with children. We specialize in providing tools for children with ADHD, autism, and other developmental challenges, ensuring they receive the support they need to thrive.
We built OT Playground because we saw a gap in accessible, well-designed, and practical resources for parents and pediatric occupational therapists. As siblings who share a passion for supporting children’s growth, we wanted to create a solution that empowers therapists and parents to deliver the best care possible. Our mission is to simplify the process of finding and using therapy resources while fostering a global community dedicated to helping children, especially those with unique developmental needs, succeed.
What problems does Memberstack help you to solve?
Memberstack helped us solve the challenge of finding a flexible and easy-to-use membership tool that could integrate seamlessly with Webflow. Without Memberstack, we would have had to rely on another membership platform that likely wouldn’t have offered the same level of flexibility with pricing structures and capabilities.
Memberstack’s features, like content gating and scalable payment processing, made it the ideal solution for managing our growing membership base.
What are your favourite things about Memberstack? Why are those your favourites?
Our favorite thing about Memberstack is its ease of integration, even without a coding background, which made setting up membership functionality on Webflow incredibly simple.
Memberstack offers extensive features, including the ability to gate any content, making it perfect for controlling access to our downloadable resources. The seamless integration with Stripe for payment processing ensures a smooth and secure experience for both us and our members.
Most importantly, Memberstack’s scalability allows us to grow as we acquire more members, supporting the expansion of OT Playground globally.
How I Built this
We started by designing our platform on Figma with the help of a design agency called Rising. They worked closely with us to mock up different concepts based on a detailed brief we provided, ensuring the design aligned with our vision for OT Playground. Once the designs were finalized, we collaborated with the agency to develop the website in Webflow, which we chose for its customization options and no-code capabilities.
I then set up Memberstack to manage memberships and integrated it with Webflow, handling all the necessary connections without needing a developer. This included configuring Memberstack to gate our premium resources, setting up user accounts, and managing subscription plans. We also integrated Xero for accounting and financial management, which streamlined our accounting operations.
After setting up the foundational tools and establishing our business in Australia, we were able to launch OT Playground and start serving our audience with the resources they need to support children’s development. Each tool and step was carefully chosen to ensure scalability and ease of use as we grow.
